Directions
Growing up in Southern California, my husband and I had our share of street food. Tacos are one of our favorite street foods and even ran into a few movie stars in a little taco joint in Redondo Beach. This recipe is one of our favorite go to street taco recipes. The citrus juices and spice blend are delicious together and its super easy.

Add seasonings, fruit juices and vinegar to a Ziplock bag and mix. Trim chicken of any unwanted fat, pat dry with a paper towel, salt and pepper both sides. Next put the chicken in the bag for 30 minutes to an hour and refrigerate.

In a grill pan or a regular grill, preheat until very hot. Add vegetable oil to the pan making sure it is coated before adding chicken. Add chicken to the hot pan allowing to cook for 6-7 minutes before turning so that it gets some char which is flavor!

After the chicken is cooked, allow the chicken to rest for 10 minutes. Chop the chicken into small bite-size pieces and mix with chopped onions and cilantro. Give the chicken mixture a squeeze of lime juice.

While chicken rests, heat a frying pan and place the tortillas in it for a couple minutes each side allowing them to get brown. I like to make my tortillas from scratch, they are so much better than store bought and it's so easy! For our tortilla recipe click here: Easy Homemade Corn Tortillas

Plate the tacos with a generous helping of the grilled chicken, onion and cilantro mixture. Add a sprinkle of queso fresco cheese on top. We make our own queso fresco, for that recipe click here: Easy Queso Fresco Cheese

Serve with Peach Mango Jalapeno Salsa and a wedge of lime and enjoy!
